Sara is a Cache Valley native and along with that, a native to Cache Valley Civic Ballet Company and School. Sara started dancing with CVCB when she was four years old. Her two older sisters danced with The School and she dreamed of being just like them. From a young age she was on stage performing in roles such as a clown, party girl, and bat. As she grew older she was so excited to advance to pointe shoes and she danced in both the Junior and Senior companies in roles such as Soldier, Dew, Flower, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Marzipan. When she was 16, she left The Company to dedicate time to running track and field. She ran through high school and college and then started her family. In between having kids, she realized how much she missed being in organized classes. She started teaching fitness classes, with Barre and Pilates being her favorite formats. She opened her own gym in Pocatello and at that gym, she began teaching ballet to young girls and their moms. She fell right back into the world of ballet she grew up in and wanted to be back. She has a four year old daughter who also loves dancing and wants to share the world of ballet with her. Sara just moved back to Cache Valley this fall and wanted to come home to The School she loved and grew up with, that shaped her into the person she is. She is so excited to be back and share her love of ballet and her passion for teaching with Cache Valley. In Sara’s spare time, she is spending time with her family, teaching group fitness classes, training for some marathon somewhere, baking French Macarons for the small business she owns, and helping others who are on Homecare and Hospice as a Registered Nurse. She can’t wait to meet all of you and help however she can!
