Cache Valley Civic Ballet Company
2026-2027 Information

Cache Valley Civic Ballet was founded in 1982 to promote the study of ballet as a fine art, provide high-quality classical training, support the development of dancers and other theatre artists, and expand access to ballet education and performance throughout our community.

The company presents a diverse repertoire of full-length and original ballets in Logan’s historic Ellen Eccles Theatre, including the annual production of The Nutcracker.

Beginning with the 2026–2027 season, Cache Valley Civic Ballet will offer four auditioned company pathways designed to give dancers meaningful opportunities to train, perform, grow, and belong at every stage of their artistic journey.

Apprentice Company
Level 5+ | Ages 10–13
Apprentice Company introduces younger dancers to the company experience through dedicated training, rehearsals, and performance opportunities. These may include roles in The Nutcracker and spring productions, a short Spring Story Ballet created especially for the company, and participation in the Company Showcase. Roles previously filled through the separate public audition for dancers 5 feet and taller will now be cast from Apprentice Company.

Junior Company
Ages 11–15
Junior Company gives developing dancers opportunities to strengthen their technique, artistry, confidence, and performance experience. Members may perform in The Nutcracker, spring ballet productions, the Company Showcase, and community outreach performances.

Senior Company
High School Freshman-Age 24

Senior Company is designed for advanced dancers seeking substantial classical training and performance experience. Members may be considered for principal, featured, soloist, and corps de ballet roles in The Nutcracker and spring productions, along with fall productions, the Company Showcase, and community outreach performances.

Ensemble Ballet
Adult Dancers | Ages 18+
Ensemble Ballet provides a dedicated full-season company experience for adult dancers who want to continue training, rehearsing, performing, and participating in an artistic community. Performance opportunities may include fall productions, such as Dracula, character roles in The Nutcracker and spring ballets as appropriate, the Company Showcase, and community outreach performances. The age ranges for Senior Company and Ensemble Ballet intentionally overlap. Dancers ages 18–24 may be considered for the pathway that best fits their training, readiness, goals, availability, and the needs of the program.

Auditions
Company members audition annually. Placement is determined through the audition process based on each dancer’s age, training, readiness, and the needs of the overall program. Additional community roles may be filled through production-specific public auditions when needed. Auditions for the 2026–2027 season will be held in August 2026, with registration opening August 3.
