The mission of the Cache Valley Civic Ballet is to promote the study of ballet as a fine art, to offer qualified training in ballet and advancement of professional ability, to provide a medium for the development of dancers, and to provide education in the art of ballet.
Depending on available funding, the Cache Valley Civic Ballet (CVCB) offers various scholarships each year (full or partial). Scholarships are made possible by grant funding, donations, or performance revenue. Scholarships will be targeted towards recruiting, retention, and diversifying the company, as well as providing opportunities to company members who would not otherwise be able to participate. All company members are eligible to apply. Basic criteria used by the CVCB Scholarship Committee in awarding scholarships to company members are as follows (the company member must meet one or all of the criteria for consideration of any scholarship):
A dancer that demonstrates dedication to the art of ballet and/or the CVCB.
A dancer that demonstrates promise in the art and/or to the CVCB.
A dancer that diversifies the CVCB Company.
A dancer that the CVCB would like to retain or recruit.
A dancer that has extenuating circumstances.
The CVCB encourages it's dancers to take advantage of training opportunities to further their dancing education. Below are links to summer intensives, master classes, and other education in our area.
