CVCB is pleased to welcome Scott Bodily for a Summer Intensive Class this August. This ADVANCED (at least two years of pointe work) Intensive Class will run Aug. 3-14, 2015. The schedule will be: Mon, Wed, Fri 5-6:30 Ballet Technique Class, 6:30 – 8 pm will be PAS. Tue & Thurs 6:30 – 7:30 Mens class, (women can also attend).

Scott Bodily has a diverse background as a professional dancer, singer, choreographer and performer. He received a vocal scholarship to Utah State University and studied Opera, Musical Theater, Classical Ballet and received a BS in Psychology. He obtained a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from Sam Houston State University. He has since performed several leading roles with his singing in Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, the International Broadway tour of Saturday Night Fever, leading luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises and his own song and dance show Reminisce. He has performed with Opera Companies (Houston Grand Opera, Omaha Opera and Utah Festival Opera) and has danced with professional Ballet and Modern Dance Companies (including Dayton Ballet, Indianapolis Ballet Theater, Dance Kaleidoscope and Pennsylvania Ballet). He has performed works of Doug Verone, Christian Holder, Septime Webre, Judith Fugate, Steven Mills, Mark Morris, Jeffery Hughes, James Clouser, David Hochoy, Dermot Burke, Brenda Daniels, Pat Graney and many others. Scott’s choreography ranges from Musical Theater, Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Modern and has been performed by professional companies including CDE, Dayton Ballet II, Colleges and Universities, pre-professional dance companies, and private studios. His choreographic work has been seen at American Voices, Kick-A, and has appeared in Dance in the Desert Festival and Harvest Chicago Festival. Scott is currently a featured soloist for CDE (Center Dance Ensemble) the Resident Modern Dance Company of the Herberger Theater in Phoenix. He teaches company class for CDE, he is adjunct faculty at Mesa Community College, Scottsdale Community College and is the Assistant Artistic Director for Arizona Youth Ballet. Scott would like to express his deep appreciation and gratitude to Cache Valley Civic Ballet for the opportunity to return home where it all began.
